The 2023 Volkswagen ID.4 electric compact SUV comes in Standard/Pro, S, and S Plus trim levels with the option of 62 kWh and 82 kWh batteries and rear-wheel- or all-wheel drive. The ID.4 with a new 62 kWh battery, powered by a 201 horsepower single, permanent magnet synchronous motor and an estimated range of 208 miles, will start at $37,495 (including a $1,295 destination fee). The ID.4 Pro with an 82 kWh battery has an EPA-estimated range of range of 275 miles, while ID.4 AWD Pro models add an asynchronous motor to the front axle, resulting in 295 horsepower and an EPA-estimated range of 255 miles.
