During my 5-day test drive in Vancouver, I found the 2022 Lexus NX350h to be a perfect size growing from its previous dimensions into the very popular and competitive luxury compact SUV category plus delivering great fuel economy. The NX350h has the vehicle height that SUV drivers demand along with plenty of interior passenger and cargo space. The new exterior is sleek and appealing. The Lexus Interface, launched into market with the all-new 2022 Lexus NX series as part of Lexus’ Connected Technologies, enables Human Machine Interface through sight, touch and voice. The smartphone connection was quick, music selection easy and climate control intuitive using the standard 9.8-inch center touch display. The ride, acceleration, and comfort made it a lot of fun to drive.
The all-new 2nd generation 2022 Lexus NX 350h has the Lexus Hybrid Drive system which pairs the D4-S fuel injection 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder gasoline engine with two high-torque electric drive motor-generators and its AWD system employs a second, independent electric motor to drive the rear wheels when traction support is needed. The updated hybrid powertrain produces 239 combined system horsepower with a combined EPA-estimated 39 MPG.
The Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is loaded with features like Curve Speed Management and Intersection Support, Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, Left Turn Oncoming Vehicle Detection and Braking, Right and Left Turn Oncoming Pedestrian Detection and Braking, Road Sign Assist, and Lane Departure Alert w/Steering Assist. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada began producing the NX gas and hybrid models at the beginning of the year. For around $43,000, the NX350h has everything you'll want and need.
