Rolls-Royce Amethyst Droptail (above), a roadster body type with removeable hardtop, is one of four from Rolls-Royce Coachbuild that began in 2017 with Sweptail, a two-door coupé, followed by the Boat Tail in 2021, and La Rose Noire Droptail (below). Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is a wholly owned subsidiary of the BMW Group and is a completely separate, unrelated company from Rolls-Royce plc, the manufacturer of aircraft engines and propulsion systems.
