The 2020 Hyundai Kona Electric SUV, the brand's first compact electric crossover for the U.S. market, is on an all-new CUV platform and will offer an enhanced premium navigation system and a battery warmer system. Powered by a 201 horsepower permanent-magnet synchronous electric motor supplied by a 64 kWh lithium-ion battery develops 291 lb.-ft. of torque distributed to the front wheels. The battery system is liquid-cooled and operates at 356 volts. The Kona Electric has a 258-Mile EPA-estimated range, with the EPA-estimated MPGe of 132 city, 108 highway, and 120 combined.
