Alfa Romeo 4C Arrives For $65,495 This Summer

All-new Alfa Romeo 4C Spider with an all-aluminum 237 horsepower 1750 turbocharged and intercooled engine with dual (intake and exhaust) continuous variable-valve timing, arrives at U.S. and Canadian dealerships this summer with an MSRP of $65,495 (including $1,595 destination). There are Dynamic, Natural or All-weather driving modes and the Alfa Romeo TCT (twin-clutch transmission) can utilize an “auto” mode. With four modes, including “Race” mode, the Alfa DNA selector can optimize the engine, transmission, Alfa Electronic Q2 differential and electronic stability control calibrations to the levels needed by the driver.

The Alfa Romeo 4C, is rear wheel drive powered in a single carbon fiber body with a new, mid-engine 1750cc direct injection, 237 horsepower turbocharged I4 engine, entirely made of aluminum, with a peak torque of 258 lb-ft of torque mated to a 6-speed Twin-Clutch Transmission. This system works like two transmissions in parallel, each with its own clutch. The next gear is selected while the previous gear is still engaged, eliminating discontinuity of power. The Alfa Romeo 4C has a top speed of 160 mph and accelerates from 0-60mph in 4.1 seconds.

The Alfa Romeo 4C Coupe has a starting MSRP of $53,900 and the 4C Coupe Launch Edition has a starting MSRP of $68,400.

Alfa Romeo 4C Headed For Fiat Dealers This Year

 
The Alfa Romeo 4C mid-engined rear-wheel drive 2-seater coupe, to be officially launched in Geneva next week, is being touted as the ‘compact supercar’. It's also expected to be sold through Fiat dealers in the U.S. this year marking the return of the brand to this continent. 

Designed by Alfa Romeo and produced in the Maserati plant in Modena, it's an Italian style sports car powered by a new 1.75 liter turbo-charged gas engine with direct injection mated to the “Alfa TCT” twin dry clutch transmission and the Alfa DNA shifter with a new Race mode. The Alfa Romeo 4C is 156 inches long on a 93.6 inch wheelbase which is a few inches shorter than the Mazda MX-5 Miata and more than 10 inches shorter than the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ. The Alfa Romeo 4C is more than two feet shorter than the Hyundai Genesis Coupe.
