The all-new Mitsubishi Outlander plug-in hybrid crossover SUV, powered by a twin-motor Super-All Wheel Control (S-AWC) system with a motor at the front and another one at the rear of the vehicle, is scheduled for launch in the U.S. in the second half of calendar-year 2022.
The Genesis GV60, a high-performance electric vehicle, is powered by a 77.4kWh battery giving the standard 228 horsepower RWD model a maximum driving range of 280 miles per charge. The standard 318 horsepower AWD model is equipped with a 217 horsepower motor for its rear wheels and a 101 horsepower motor for its front wheels for a maximum driving range of 248 miles per charge. Innovations include Face Connect, Fingerprint Authentication System, Over-the-Air Software Update, and Digital Key 2 enable drivers to interact with their vehicle. The fifth-generation 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee, in Laredo, Altitude, Limited, Overland, Trailhawk, Summit and Summit Reserve trims, adds its first electrified Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe with a new 375 horsepower plug-in hybrid powertrain. The 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 with two electric motors and eight-speed automatic transmission is available on Limited, Trailhawk, Overland, Summit and Summit Reserve looks to deliver an estimated 25 miles of all-electric range, 57 miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe) and a combined driving range of more than 440 miles. The new off-road Trailhawk, powered by the 293 horsepower all-aluminum 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine, standard on all models, features standard all-terrain tires, integrated off-road camera, Quadra-Lift air suspension with up to 11.3 inches of ground clearance, improved approach, departure and breakover angles and the Quadra-Drive II active transfer case with rear eLSD and Selec-Terrain. The 357 horsepower 5.7-liter V-8 engine is available on Overland, Trailhawk, Summit and Summit Reserve. The all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee will arrive in Jeep dealerships in North America in the fourth quarter of 2021. The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe is scheduled to arrive in North America early in 2022 and in global markets later that year.
The 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe (pictured above) and Suburban (pictured below) is powered by a 355 horsepower 5.3L V-8 as the standard engine on LS, LT, Z71, RST and Premier models. The optional Duramax 277 horsepower 3.0L turbo-diesel is available on all models except Z71. All engines are mated to a standard 10-speed automatic transmission with push-button electronic shift. The 420-horsepower 6.2L V-8 engine is now available on the RST, Z71 and Premier. The 6.2L engine is standard on the High Country.
New for 2022, additional technology, including more mechanical options including available electronic limited slip differential, infotainment improvements and additional standard active safety features Front and Rear Park Assist and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning now standard on all trims. A new, larger 12.3-inch-diagonal configurable digital instrument cluster is now standard on 2022 Tahoe and Suburban for LT trims and above. The 2022 Tahoe and Suburban will begin production in October.
The 2022 Jeep Wrangler Willys joins Wrangler Rubicon and Wrangler Rubicon 392 as models available with 35-inch tires in Xtreme Recon Package and is priced at $40,930 (including $1,495 destination charge). Customers can order the Xtreme Recon Package on the Jeep Wrangler Willys 293 horsepower 3.6L eTorque starting in October. Production will start in December.
The 2022 Honda Passport, powered by a 280-horsepower V6 engine mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission and i-VTM4™ all-wheel drive with true torque vectoring available on all grades (standard on TrailSport and Elite), is refreshed with a new, more rugged exterior design and offers a Passport TrailSport trim. TrailSport is equipped with new 18-inch diameter wheels, while EX-L and Elite receive newly designed 20-inch wheels. The 2022 Honda Passport is expected to begin arriving in dealers this Winter.
The new 2022 Toyota Sienna Woodland Special Edition, offered in LE, XLE, sporty XSE, limited and Platinum trims, is available in the Cement or Midnight Black Metallic exterior colors and features a standard Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive System and increased ground clearance. The Woodland Edition, and any 2022 Sienna equipped with the Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive System, achieves an EPA-estimated 35 combined MPG. (Sienna models with front-wheel drive get EPA-estimated 36 combined MPG.) The new-generation Sienna combines a standard hybrid powertrain with AWD, which is available as an option on all model grades. The 2022 Sienna Woodland Edition comes exclusively in the 7-seat configuration with Super-Long-Slide second-row captain’s chairs. It comes with a tow hitch and 3500-lb. towing capability.
The new 2022 Ford Expedition Timberline series, powered by a 440 horsepower twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost® engine delivers a maximum towing capability of 9,300 pounds. Available features include Road Edge Detection, Intersection Assist, Reverse Brake Assist, Evasive Steering Assist and Active Air Dam. The 2022 Ford Expedition will go on sale in the first quarter of 2022.
The all-new 2022 Toyota Tundra is powered by the standard 389 horsepower i-FORCE 3.5L twin-turbo V6 engine or the available 437 horsepower i-FORCE MAX powertrain both mated to a new 10-speed automatic transmission. Two different four-door layouts are available, as well as various bed lengths including a 5.5-foot bed, 6.5-foot bed and an 8.1-foot bed. The new Tundra has a maximum towing capacity of up to 12,000 pounds and a max payload capacity of 1,940 pounds. The all-new Tundra will go on sale later this year, and pricing will be announced closer to the on-sale date.

The 2022 RDX will begin arriving at Acura dealers nationwide in early November.
The all-new 2022 Audi Q4 e-tron comes in the Q4 50 e-tron and its Sportback variation offering quattro four wheel drive, powered by 295 horsepower dual asynchronous motors with an EPA-estimated range of 241 miles while the Q4 40 e-tron arrives equipped with a 201 horsepower rear-wheel drive single asynchronous electric motor. The new 2022 Kia Sorento Turbo Plug-in Hybrid 3-row SUV has a 66.9 kW electric motor and a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that combine to produce 261 horsepower delivering an EPA-estimated 32-mile all-electric driving range with an EPA-estimated total range of 460 miles for an EPA-estimated 79 MPGe combined rating. The 2022 Sorento Turbo Plug-in Hybrid will start at $46,165 (including $1,175 destination and handling charge) for the SX and $49,065 for the fully loaded SX-Prestige (SX-P). The Sorento PHEV may be eligible for a $6,587 Federal Tax Credit, as well as various state incentives, including single rider carpool lane access in California.
The 2022 Mazda CX-5 will have refreshed exterior styling on all models, Mazda intelligent Drive Select (Mi-Drive) drive mode selection and i-Activ all-wheel drive standard across the entire CX lineup in the U.S. market. The WRX has an available high-definition tablet-style 11.6-inch SUBARU STARLINK® Multimedia system and latest generation EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology. The WRX adds a new top-of-the-line GT trim with a new automatic transmission, the Subaru Performance Transmission, as standard. The 2022 WRX will be available at Subaru retailers in early 2022.
The new 2022 Chevrolet Silverado, powered by a 420 horsepower 6.2L V-8 engine mated with a 10-speed automatic transmission, gets updates that include the first-ever Silverado ZR2, a 13.4-inch-diagonal touchscreen standard on LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, ZR2, LTZ and High Country and available Super Cruise hands-free driver-assistance technology with trailering on High Country. The all-new 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross, based on the ever-popular Corolla sedan and powered by a 169 horsepower four cylinder 2.0-liter DOHC 16-valve with Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence engine paired with CVT, is coming to dealerships this October in L, LE and XLE trim levels with a starting MSRP of $23,410 (including $1,215 destination and handling) for the front-wheel drive base grade. Every Corolla Cross is capable of towing up to 1,500 lbs. The estimated MPG is 32 combined for the FWD model and an estimated 30 combined MPG for the AWD model.
The Mercedes-Benz Concept EQG is the all-electric version of the G-Class with selected design elements typical of all-electric models.
The Mercedes-EQE, the second model to be based on the electric architecture following the 3.5 inch-longer EQS sedan, will start with the 288 horsepower EQE 350 and a second model that will be announced at a later date with more versions to follow. The battery has a usable energy content of 90 kWh, and a range of up to 409 miles. The staggered global launch will begin mid-2022.

The all-new 2022 Nissan Frontier, has a King Cab offered in 4x2 and 4x4 S and SV grades with a 6-foot bed, while the Crew Cab is offered in 4x2 and 4x4 S and SV (SWB and LWB) grades, as well as PRO-4X (4x4 only) and new-for-2022 PRO-X (4x2 only) grades. The 2022 Lexus UX 200, with new color combinations inside and out, is powered by a 169 horsepower 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine coupled with a 10-speed Direct Shift Continuously Variable Transmission while the all-wheel drive UX 250h (pictured) pairs a version of the 2.0-liter gas engine with a fourth-generation hybrid drive system for 181 total system horsepower. The Atlas Cross Sport GT Concept will be at select events across the USA later this year.
2022 Porsche Macan is powered by a 261 horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, the Macan S has a 375 horsepower 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 and the GTS variant has a 434 horsepower version of the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, all mated to a 7-speed dual clutch PDK transmission. The 2022 Macan models come standard with Lane Departure Warning as well as front and rear Park Assist with a rear-view camera. The 2022 Porsche Macan is expected to arrive early next year with a starting MSRP of $56,250 (including $1,350 for delivery, processing, and handling). The 2022 Porsche Macan S and GTS are expected to reach U.S. dealers in the Spring. The Macan S has an MSRP of $66,750 while the Macan GTS starts at $81,250.
2022 Volkswagen Mk8 Golf GTI is powered by a 241 horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged direct-injection TSI® engine and Golf R (pictured above), powered by a 315 horsepower version of the same engine paired with a standard six-speed manual transmission or an optional seven-speed DSG® dual-clutch automatic. Both with wheelbases unchanged from the previous generation. The 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro is standard and the IQ.DRIVE® suite of driver assistance technology is available on GTI and Golf R models, including Travel Assist (semi-automated driving assistance); Front Assist (Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking with Pedestrian and Cyclist Monitoring); Active Blind Spot Monitor; Rear Traffic Alert; Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC); Lane Assist (Lane Keeping System); and Emergency Assist (semi-automated vehicle assistance in a medical emergency, DSG only). 2022 GTI, in its eighth generation, has a starting MSRP of $30,540 (including $995 destination) for the S model with manual transmission. The fifth iteration of the Golf R starts at $44,460 with manual transmission. The 2022 Golf GTI and Golf R are expected to reach U.S. dealers in Q4 2021.
The 2022 Jeep Compass, which starts at $26,490 (including $1,495 destination), is powered by 177 horsepower 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder engineand mated to either a nine-speed automatic transmission (4x4) or six-speed automatic transmission (4x2) delivering up to 31 miles per gallon highway (4x2), a highway driving range of more than 400 miles and a maximum towing capacity of up to 2,000 pounds (4x4 models). 2022 Jeep Compass has an all-new interior with advanced safety and security features, including semi-autonomous driving and a host of next-generation technologies including a new 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen radio and a new available 10.25-inch frameless full-color TFT cluster. The 2022 Jeep Compass comes in Sport, Latitude, Latitude LUX, Trailhawk and Limited trim levels starting this Fall.
The 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz Sport Adventure Vehicle, starting at $25,175 (including $1,185 freight charges) goes on sale in late July.
The 2022 BMW 230i, in its 2nd Generation, is 4.3-inches longer, 2.6-inches wider, 1.0-inch lower and has a 2.0-inch longer wheelbase than the 1st Generation 230i Coupe and powered by a 255 horsepower 2.0-liter 4-cylinder BMW TwinPower turbo engine mated to an eight-speed sport automatic transmission with launch control, rear wheel drive or rear-biased xDrive all-wheel drive and a completely revised chassis. The MSRP for 230i Coupe is $37,345.
The BMW M240i xDrive, which starts at $49,545, is powered by a 382 horsepower 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder BMW TwinPower turbo engine. Frontal Collision Warning with braking is able to react to moving and stationary vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists. Lane Departure Warning with lane keep assist, which can be used between 44 – 130 mph, alerts the driver with steering wheel vibrations if they are unintentionally drifting out of their lane and helps them guide the car back onto the correct course with a steering input. Market launch is set for November for the 230i and M240i xDrive Coupes with the 230i xDrive and M240i Coupes to follow.
The Lotus Emira is an all-new mid-engine premium sports car powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine at launch while from Summer 2022, the Emira will be powered by an AMG turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder ‘i4’ mated to a choice of a manual, automatic or Dual Clutch Transmission. The Emira is built on the recently announced new Lotus Sports Car Architecture using the same bonded extruded aluminum chassis technology which debuted on the Elise. Access to the car’s infotainment system is via a 10.25-inch centrally mounted touch-screen, with an additional 12.3-inch TFT driver’s display behind the steering wheel. Deliveries will start next Spring.
The Volvo Concept Recharge is a preview to the next generation of all-electric Volvos with designers repositioning the seats, optimizing the roof profile and lowering the hood but retaining the high eye point of the existing XC40, XC60 and XC90 models. By removing the engine and replacing it with a full battery pack under the flat floor, the wheelbase has been extended.
The new Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, only available in the Coupe body style, is powered by a 631 horsepower 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine mated to a modified eight-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission to offer quicker shift times. The Cayenne Turbo GT is available to order now and expected to reach U.S. dealers in early 2022 for $182,150 (including a $1,350 delivery, processing and handling fee).
