2024 Subaru Solterra Starts At $46,340
The 2024 Subaru Solterra all-electric SUV, available in Premium, Limited, and Touring trim levels and 8.3 inches of ground clearance, gets a redesigned steering wheel with regenerative braking force paddle switches, improved charging performance and standard roof rails with a static load capacity rated up to 700 pounds. New for this year, the 2024 Solterra can replenish its battery from 10% to 80% in as little as 35 minutes, with a state of charge indicator displaying the estimated time to 80% or 100%. Thanks to an upgraded battery conditioning system, the 2024 Solterra can charge at temperatures below freezing significantly faster than its predecessor, up to 80 minutes faster in certain conditions. The starting price is $46,340 (including $1,345 destination and delivery) before applicable federal, state, or local tax credits. The 2024 Solterra will qualify for applicable federal tax credits of up to $7,500 for some owners.
2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata
The 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata, with a front engine, rear-wheel drive layout, is powered by a 181 horsepower Skyactiv-G 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine routed through a six-speed transmission. All MX-5 Miata models have a new, larger 8.8-inch infotainment display. 2024 Honda Prologue Starts At $48,795 In March
The all-new 2024 Honda Prologue, the first all-electric Honda SUV, will begin arriving in Honda dealerships in March, with a 296 mile EPA range rating. Two-wheel drive models are powered by a 212 horsepower front-mounted single motor and all-wheel drive (available on EX and Touring), which adds an additional motor in the rear generates 288 horsepower. The Prologue EX starts at $48,795 (including $1,395 destination charge), before the application of any government incentives or tax credits to leasees.
2024 Porsche Macan 4 Starts At $80,450
2024 Porsche Macan 4 and Macan Turbo, with a 3.4 in. longer wheelbase than the previous model, have fully electric all-wheel drive powertrains with up to 630 horsepower and 833 lb.-ft. from two electric motors and a 100 kWh battery and up to 270 kW charging performance. The battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent within approximately 21 minutes at a compatible fast-charging station under ideal conditions. The 402 horsepower Macan 4 is $80,450 (including a $1,650 delivery, processing and handling fee), while the 630 horsepower Macan Turbo is $106,950 with a maximum towing capacity of up to 4,400 pounds. The Macan is available with optional rear-axle steering, with a maximum steering angle of five degrees. EPA range figures will be available closer to delivery date. 2023 U.S. Auto Sales
General Motors delivered 2.6 million vehicles in the U.S. in 2023, up 14 percent year-over-year.
Toyota Motor North America reported year-end 2023 U.S. sales of 2,248,477 vehicles, an increase of 6.6 percent on a volume basis compared to 2022.
Ford U.S. sales were 1,995,912 vehicles in 2023, up 7.1 percent over 2022.
FCA US LLC (Stellantis: Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Jeep®, Fiat, Alfa Romeo) reports sales of 1,527,090 vehicles for the full 2023 calendar year, a decrease of 1 percent.
American Honda 2023 sales of 1,308,186 was up 33 percent over 2022 with Honda brand sales of 1,162,531, up 31.9 percent and Acura sales of 145,655, up 42 percent.
Nissan Group calendar year 2023 U.S. sales of 898,796 is an increase of 23.2 percent compared to the prior year with Nissan Division sales 834,097 up 22.2 percent, INFINITI sales 64,699 up 38.8 percent.
Hyundai USA sold 801,195 vehicles in 2023, an 11 percent increase compared with 2022.
Kia America’s 2023 total sales of 782,451 was up 13 percent year-over-year and 12-percent over the previous record set in 2021.
Subaru of America ended calendar year 2023 with 632,086 vehicle sales, a 13.6 percent increase compared with calendar year 2022.
Volkswagen of America sold 329,029 vehicles in 2023, an increase of 9.3 percent over 2022. Separately, Audi of America sold 228,550 vehicles last year, up 22percent from 2022.
Mercedes-Benz USA 2023 total sales of 351,746 was up by 0.2 percent compared to 2022 with electric vehicles accounting for 43,202 or 15 percent of overall passenger vehicle sales in 2023.
Mazda North American Operations reported full-year sales totaled 363,354 vehicles, an increase of 23.2 percent compared to 2022.
BMW full year 2023 sales of 362,244 vehicles is an increase of 9 percent from 2022.
Volvo Cars’ US sales for 2023 amounted to 128,701 cars, up 26 per cent compared to the full year of 2022.

2025 Lexus UX 300h Coming In The New Year
The 2025 Lexus UX 300h compact hybrid crossover, offered in eight different models, including F SPORT Design and F SPORT Handling, is powered by the fifth-generation Lexus Hybrid System which pairs the inline four-cylinder 2.0-liter gas engine with two motor-generators through a continuously variable transmission delivering 196 total system horsepower. A new hybrid transaxle has been adopted, enabling higher output of the front (83 kW) and rear (30 kW) motors. The UX 300h can be equipped with E-Four, Lexus’ all-wheel drive system which places a permanent synchronous motor at the rear axle. Standard on all UXh models are 18-inch run-flat tires. For 2025, a larger 12.3-inch multi-information display becomes standard on all Premium and F SPORT models while a 7-inch multi-information display is standard on the Base model. Pricing for the 2025 Lexus UX 300h will be announced in the new year with the vehicle going on sale shortly after.

Tesla Cybertruck Has Debuted, Coming In 2024
The 5 passenger 223.7 inch long fully electric Tesla Cybertruck has finally debuted and is available to order for a fully refundable $250 deposit. Coming first in 2024, the 600 horsepower all-wheel drive Cybertruck for $68,890 with an estimated range of 340 miles and the 845 horsepower Cyberbeast model for an estimated $96,390 with a projected range of 320 miles. The rear wheel drive Cybertruck is priced at an estimated $49,890 with an estimated 250 miles range when it become available in 2025. Prices assume IRA Federal Tax Credits up to $7,500 for Rear-Wheel Drive and All-Wheel Drive. The Cybertruck can carry a 2,500 pound payload and has a towing capacity of 11,000 lbs. and ground clearance of 17.44 inches. There's an 18.5” center touchscreen display and a 9.4” rear touchscreen. Charging speed is up to 128 miles in 15 minutes. The basic vehicle warranty is 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first, and the battery and drive unit have an 8 year or 150,000 mile warranty whichever comes first. Expecting to produce 200,000 to 250,000 Cybertrucks per year and reported orders now at nearly 2 million, it could be a four to five year wait to get yours.

The new MINI Countryman S ALL4, the largest MINI, is powered by a 241 horsepower two-liter four-cylinder turbo engine feeding the all-wheel drive system. A new feature of MINI is the option of semi-automated driving on multi-lane routes which allows the driver to take his hands off the steering wheel at speeds of up to 37 mph. The refreshed 2024 Hyundai Elantra N, powered by a new 276 horsepower 2.0T direct-injected engine specially developed for N models and paired with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, gets redesigned front bumper fascia and grille, dual-projector LED headlamps, 19-inch forged alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S summer tires and rear bumper fascia and diffuser. The refreshed Elantra N will arrive at dealers beginning in January 2024.

2023 LA Auto Show: Vehicle Highlights
There were few introductions and many missing nameplates at the 2023 LA Auto Show, when in past years there could be as many as 20 World or North American debuts. Significant introductions were the Lucid Gravity, all-new 2025 Subaru Forester, all-new 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe and refreshed Kia Sorento. (Click on names or scroll down to posts for details).

The 2024 Chevrolet E-Ray Corvette (above), as a 2 seater coupe or convertible, is powered by a 495 horsepower 6.2L V8 DI engine with 8-speed dual clutch transmission and comes in 1LZ Coupe starting at $106,295 (including $1,395 destination freight charge), 2LZ Coupe at $111,795 and 3LZ Coupe at $117,245. The 1LZ eAWD coupe starts at $107,990 with the convertible models starting at $114,990.

Among manufacturer vehicle displays missing from the 2023 LA Show are BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, Buick and GMC. All the Stellantis brands, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, not on display, apparently due to the costly UAW strike. Porsche, which has traditionally had its own exhibit hall because of its massive Southern California sales performance, skipped the LA Show this year apparently focused on its Rennsport Reunion 7 celebrating 75 years.

2023 LA Auto Show Interview: 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe
The all-new 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe is powered by 277 horsepower 2.5-liter direct-injected, turbocharged engine mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission or an eco-focused 232 horsepower 1.6-liter direct-injected, turbocharged hybrid linked with a six-speed automatic transmission. The new XRT, making its global debut, is an outdoor-focused sport model. The 2024 Santa Fe 2.5T model goes on sale in March 2024, with the Hybrid model on sale in Spring.

2023 LA Auto Show: Honda Prelude Concept
The hybrid-electric Honda Prelude Concept two-door coupe is on display at the Los Angeles Auto Show. In early 2024, Honda will begin sales of the Honda Prologue, Honda's first all-electric SUV. Following the Prologue, in 2025, a mid- to large-size EV model based on Honda's own EV architecture will go on sale.

2024 Nissan Armada Starts At $57,345 Now
The 2024 Nissan Armada, in SV, SL and Platinum trims, offers rear-wheel drive or Nissan's advanced Intelligent 4WD system with a two-speed transfer case with power from a 400 horsepower 5.6-liter Endurance® V8 engine that has a maximum towing capacity of up to 8,500 pound. The 2024 Nissan Armada is on sale now with a starting MSRP of $57,345 (including $1,895 destination and handling charge).
2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe and GV80 Coming Next Year
The first-ever 2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe and the new 2025 GV80 SUV will be equipped with a 300 horsepower gasoline 2.5L I-4 turbo engine or a gasoline 375 horsepower 3.5L twin turbo engine, which produces a maximum output of 375 horsepower. The GV80 Coupe will offer two engine choices, including the gasoline 3.5L V6 Twin Turbo with 48V electric supercharger delivering 409 horsepower. A 27-inch-wide OLED display integrates the multimedia screen, exemplifying the harmony in the combination of a high-tech device with details with its horizontal layout. Further details regarding the upcoming 2025 GV80 SUV and GV80 Coupe’s North American availability, specifications, and pricing will be announced in 2024.
2025 Toyota Camry Coming Next Spring
The 2025 Toyota Camry, in its ninth generation, is powered by a 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder engine combined with the fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System's two electric motors, for 225 net combined horsepower on Front Wheel Drive models and 232 horsepower on Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive equipped models. For the 2025 model, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster comes standard on LE and SE models, while a standard 12.3-in fully digital gauge cluster is found in the XLE and XSE grades. The XLE and XSE grades also come with an available 10-inch Head Up Display to allow drivers to check their speed, see warning indicators, and turn-by-turn navigation. The 2025 Toyota Camry is expected to arrive at Toyota Dealerships in the Spring of 2024.
2025 Toyota Crown Signia
The 2025 Toyota Crown Signia is the second entry in the U.S. Toyota Crown lineup available in XLE and Limited grades and powered by a 2.5-liter DOHC four-cylinder engine with two electric motor generators delivering 243 combined system net horsepower and a preliminary manufacturer-estimated 36 combined MPG rating.
2024 Mercedes AMG GT Coupe Arrives First Half of 2024
The second-generation 2024 Mercedes AMG GT Coupe is powered by a 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive AMG 4.0L V8 Biturbo engine paired to the AMG SPEEDSHIFT® MCT 9G transmission with 577 horsepower for the AMG GT 63 Coupe and 469 horsepower for the AMG GT 55 Coupe when they arrive at U.S. dealerships in the first half of 2024.
